THE "GIFT" OF SALVATION

“For the wages of sin is death; but the "GIFT" of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”  Romans 6:23  

This isn't about "Religion" this is about a personal Relationship with the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  

John 14:6 - Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. 

Too many people believe that just because they pray a prayer of salvation ("Sinners Prayer" etc.) that they don't need to seek a deeper relationship with Jesus or they think all is well and they can go on living life the way they always have, doing whatever is right in their own minds. Thus, never seeking true righteousness and holiness.  A prayer of salvation is a prayer said with commitment, faith and perseverance.  It is a transformative prayer of repentance from sin and profession of faith before the Lord that should never be taken lightly.  This type of prayer should not be viewed as a "religious" act, rather a relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.  

Luke 10:9-10 

9 That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

10 For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.
